BioI'm a grad student in political science.
All my journal is friends-only; if you're interested, friend me and I'll friend you back. All I ask is that you try to play nice with us all here.
I'm an Orthodox Christiancatechumen convert, politically right of center and economically very right of center, but I dress and eat like a hippie most of the time. I'm a bit of what Rod Dreher calls a "Crunchy Con" [National Review article link] and what Newt Gingrich calls a "Green Conservative." [YouTube video link]
People on my friends list cover a wide spectrum of political ideologies, economic stances, religious faiths, sexual/affectional/gender identities, and preferences of favorite television shows: I don't reject people out-of-hand for having different beliefs, preferences and lifestyles from mine so long as they are relatively mellow and polite about not agreeing with where I'm coming from and don't try to play head games about our differences.
The bottom line is that this is my journal, so if you're not okay with my choices, preferences, and beliefs, don't bother friending me, but also don't automatically assume that I will reject you based on your choices and beliefs. I like people (as Maude said, "they're my species!") and am generally respectful of others' differences so long as others are respectful of mine.
